2023 VISUAL ARTS
http://POLESZAK DAGMARA - Physical illnesses
"Through the use of the many media I have selected, my collection of artworks intends to explore
the depths of human mental diseases by examining the feelings, ideas, and behaviors that ill
people encounter. Each piece in this exhibition presents a different viewpoint on how a disease
may be portrayed from a different perspective in order to show the feelings that are present in
the thoughts of those who are unwell. Through these works of art, I intend to arouse curiosity
and awe, provoking viewers to consider their attitudes toward those who are ill and get a better
knowledge of the conditions. During the process of making my art exhibition I wanted to
increase awareness, reduce stigma, and promote understanding of these conditions. Some of
the key concepts and understandings that I wanted to convey included the fact that mental
illnesses are real and serious health conditions that can affect anyone regardless of age,
gender, or background. I also wanted to show that it is not a personal weakness or a character
flaw, but rather a medical condition that requires treatment and support and the fact that it can
impact a person's thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and overall quality of life, and can be just as
debilitating as physical illnesses.

http://KULPA KINGA - Home
"The exhibition showcases my personal interpretations of the theme of home,
incorporating various techniques that I have acquired through my studies in Visual Arts.
These techniques have encouraged me to experiment with novel materials and forms.
In exploring the theme of home, I have critically examined my reality, memories, and
connection with nature. Having left my family home at the age of 15, I have
accumulated diverse perspectives on the subject of home, which has compelled me to
search for alternative forms of "home" and has culminated in the production of the
displayed artworks which are exhibited in an L-shape with an island in the middle. All
works keep the theme of home of which, to me, is often found in nature and
relationships. My artworks create a story, going from left to right. It starts with
Rootedness which describes the connection between trees and families."

http://IGA GRONOWSKA - Light and color
"My
exhibition gathers many new skills and concepts I have acquired over
the last two years of the IB Visual Arts Programme. It displays the
results of an extremely developing process that made me a more
sensitive artist. The exhibition reflects my fascination with the
concept of light
and color,
since I have found the intangible relationship between them. I wanted
to dig deeper into how hues change during different times of the day
and how brightness can manipulate their intensity and tone.

http://IGA ROZBICKA - Water
"My exhibition is a culmination of the ideas and techniques I have come across over the two years of
the IB Visual Arts course. What one can except to see is the result of an ongoing learning process
that has inspired me as an artist. My whole life I have lived next to the sea and always been
fascinated by its beauty, power and mystery. This influenced me into creating pieces of art inspired
by the most important concepts of „WATER” for me and their meaning, as well as, importance. "

http://ALEKSANDRA KACZMAREK - Music-identity
"My intention in creating this exhibition was the portrayal of music by use
of visual arts. The selection of pieces I did is directed by different
aspects of music that I wanted to present. To do it the best way possible, I
did extensive research, both in various sources and in my own mind. To
choose this particular topic for my exhibition, I got inspired by a movie
that I was extremely excited to see. The trailer of „Belle” directed by
Mamoru Hosoda in 2019, who is also the director of „Mirai” – an animated
film nominated for the Oscars, got me the idea that this movie will be
somehow a portrayal of music in the visual form. When I watched it, it was
not really what I expected, but I still think of it as the artwork that
inspired all this exhibition. Every individual piece also has a separate
inspiration mentioned in each’s description, like Bethoveen and Warhol for
Harmony/chaos. The title of my exhibition is meant to be an invitation for
the viewer to treat these pieces as a whole together, leading this
exhibition to be an item in its own, the one undertitled „music – identity”.

"My display is a culmination of the ideas and skills I've wanted to develop over my two years of IB
Visual Arts. What you may anticipate to see is the outcome of a learning process that has profoundly
motivated me as an artist. I have been connected to my family and home for as long as I can
remember. However, only recently have I realised how deeply it defined my identity. This influenced
me to investigate these ideas."

http://EMILIA WOJDYLAK - Womanhood
"As part of my IB Visual Arts course, I have created an exhibition that explores the diverse and
complex experiences of "womanhood". Through a range of paintings, sculptures and drawings,
I delve into the emotional depth and cultural significance of the female experience, drawing
inspiration from personal life, cultural traditions, and artistic styles. Womanhood is a
multifaceted experience that has been shaped by history, culture, and individual identity, and
my exhibition seeks to offer a nuanced and deeply personal perspective on what it means to be
a woman."
